Aims & Objectives
Who we are and what we're working towards for The Meadows, Nottingham.
MOZES — The Meadows Ozone Energy Services — is our neighbourhood's own community energy group. We are a volunteer-led charitable organisation working to reduce the area's carbon footprint, help residents access affordable energy, and move The Meadows towards energy self-sufficiency through renewable technologies.
Everything we do is powered by local people giving their time, skills and enthusiasm. Over the years our work has saved residents over £100,000 on their energy bills, put solar panels on more than 65 homes, three schools and a community building, and given energy advice to hundreds of local households.
Reduce our carbon footprint
Help The Meadows cut its carbon emissions and play its part in tackling the climate emergency.
Generate clean energy
Increase renewable generation locally — solar, battery storage and beyond — towards energy self-sufficiency.
Affordable energy for all
Reduce fuel bills and tackle fuel poverty so warm, affordable homes are within everyone's reach.
A community-owned future
Put decisions and benefits in the hands of local residents, run by volunteers from the neighbourhood.
How MOZES is run
MOZES is governed by a board of directors drawn from the local community. Once a year we hold an AGM where residents can review our projects, hear talks on environmental issues, scrutinise the accounts and put themselves forward for the board. Anyone who lives or works in The Meadows can take part.
